As a leading exponent of the orthodontic technology SureSmile Advanced, Dr Chatoo is delighted to be running a seminar for European orthodontists at his practice in December. SureSmile is a combination of innovative technology and robotic wire-bending and Dr Chatoo was an early adopter.
The delegates, all users of SureSmile Advanced, will enjoy a complete overview of the pioneering orthodontic system. They will also benefit from Dr Chatoo’s two decades of expertise in lingual orthodontics. This will include an insight into how he has worked with a UK laboratory to devise a way of printing 3D trays for precise bracket placement.
The London Lingual Orthodontic Clinic was the first centre in the UK dedicated to lingual braces. SureSmile Advanced is Dr Chatoo’s preferred system because of the precision it delivers and also because it enhances communication between specialist and patient.
3D scans of patients’ teeth allow Dr Chatoo to produce accurate simulations so his patients can see how their teeth will move. The digital scans facilitate valuable discussions with patients.
As treatment nears completion, he can achieve treatment goals with a high degree of efficiency as well as fine tune the end result to meet the wishes of the patient. Using SureSmile, from the first appointment to the removal of braces, Dr Chatoo can ensure the result is as accurate as possible.
Last year, Dr Chatoo spent a day lecturing to dentists at the University of Harvard Dental School. He is the co-president of the scientific committee of this year’s World Society of Lingual Orthodontics meeting in Barcelona and he is Secretary of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics.
