Chia pudding is omega 3 and protein rich. This means it is likely to keep you going until lunchtime if you have it for breakfast or until your evening meal if you have it as a snack. Omega 3 is said to be good for your memory, mood and learning. It’s also anti-inflammatory which may help with possible discomfort when your braces are first on. It’s also very soft to eat so it will take pressure of your mouth and chewing. The seeds may well get caught in the braces and you will want to have a good clean around in your mouth after eating. But this is a small price to pay for such a delicious dish. Really easy to make or you can buy it at the high street chains like Pret and EAT.
Recipe
- ¼ cup of chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk or coconut milk.
Mix everything and leave the chia to absorb the milk for about 10 minutes. Scatter whatever fruit you want on top. Stewed apple and pears are soft as are the berries. Add a tablespoon of maple syrup if it needs sweetening- you can add more or less depending on how sweet you like it.
